I am a fourth year psychology student at Florida Atlantic University and am working under Dr. Nancy Aaron Jones as a research assistant in the developmental psychophysiology laboratory, a position I've held since the summer of 2008. Currently, I oversee recruiting and direct participant interaction in both the lab and the field. We are currently studying the effects of maternal depression on a child's ability to develop empathy and I'm writing my honor's thesis, utilizing ECG data we have collected. Presently, I am applying to graduate programs nationwide. Click below for my full C.V.

Research Interests
I have broad and ranging interests in social psychology, including the self, and self-schemas. Of particular interest is self-handicapping and other self-protective behaviors. Forgiveness, and its antithesis, revenge/retribution are of further regard. In a broader context, I am equally curious of socio-cultural influence as a deterministic mechanism. I have also been inherently interested in pro-social behavior. Why do some individuals help, with out promise or prospect, and others do not?
